Registry links
Whether we earn anything when somebody follows a registry link, and what happens to the click.
Today we earn nothing
ElliePost earns no commission from any registry link on any page. We have joined no affiliate programme and we add nothing to the link a parent pastes in.
There are no adverts on ElliePost, and nothing on a page is there because somebody paid for it.
One day we might
A commission on a registry purchase is the most likely way a product like this pays for itself, and we may take it up. If we do, the price you pay stays exactly the same.
If that day comes, this page will say so before a single link earns anything, and the date at the top will change.
The family chooses the shop
We never pick where a registry lives. A parent pastes their own web address and the button on their page points at it.
We show nothing from the shop itself. No product name and no price appears anywhere in ElliePost, and we never read what is on a registry.
Leaving ElliePost
Most registries are at shops everybody knows, and the button takes you straight there.
If a registry is somewhere we do not know by name, we show you the full web address first and let you decide. Nothing is blocked. The family’s choice always works.
What we count
We count how many people followed the registry link on a page, so the parents can see whether it was any use. It is a number for the page, and nothing about the person who followed it is written down.
That count stays with us. It is never handed to an advertising network or to anybody else.
